Born in 1983 in Haifa, Israel, to a journalist and art lecturer/curator mother who exposed me to the art world and the elements of art. And a metal fabricator father who runs his independent business where I grew up experiencing various materials and machines. The factory is surrounded by other workshops and manufacturers and I often went visiting the neighbors to watch and lend a hand, learning from the old generation skilled craftsman andacquiring the skills. My playground was the workshop. At the age of 17, I started working with my father daily, and for over a decade I acquired

more metal fabrication skills creating furniture in my free time and establishing my own style.

Later obtained a second-class architect degree at the Technion institute of technology where

I taught drafting for five years.

Creating things comes naturally to me, I’ve always viewed the world with an awareness of

materials, structures and production techniques. I love figuring out technical solutions.

Akiko and I met in 2007 while hiking in the Indian Himalayas, where the rich experience of

simple off-grid mountain life immersed in nature influenced my life philosophy and creative

path. We later moved to Japan in search of a harmonious way of living, and in 2015, Started

our studio with the goal of enriching people’s lives with unique handmade items, created with

passion and care for details. Now raising four children, who love the experience of creating

art and the excitement of nature being part of our daily life.

1983年イスラエルのハイファ生まれ。美術講師・芸術員でジャーナリストであり、現在はキュレー

ターの母の影響により、幼少期から芸術の世界に親しみ、アートの本質を身近に感じながら育っ

た。一方で、父は金属加工業を営んでおり、さまざまな素材や機械がある工場が遊び場であり、

学びの場でもあった。周囲には職人気質の漂う工房が軒を連ね、熟練の職人たちの仕事に魅了

され、自然と技術を身につけていった。

17歳から本格的に父の工場で働き始め、10年以上にわたり金属加工の経験を積む傍ら、家具

制作にも取り組み、自らのスタイルを試行錯誤の中で築き上げていった。さらにテクニオン工科

大学では建築を学び、建築士（二級）の資格を取得。卒業後は5年間、製図の講師として教鞭も

とった。

「僕にとって、作ることは、とても自然な行為。素材や構造、製造技術といった視点で世界を常に

見て触れてきた。技術的な問題を解決することが好き。」

2007年妻・アキコと出会った、道も電気も携帯電話もないインド・ヒマラヤの村や山で過ごした時

間の中で、「本当の豊かさ」に触れた経験が、創作や人生観に深い影響を与えた。

より自然と調和した暮らしを求め日本へ拠点を移し、日本中を旅して辿り着いた岡山県西粟倉村

で、2015年事業を立ち上げ、妻と4人の子どもたちとともに暮らし、美しい自然からインスピレー

ションを受け、細部まで情熱を注ぎ制作を続けている。
