Sari Fishman – Artist & Poet

Dr. Sari Fishman is a contemporary Israeli artist and poet known for her evocative fusion of visual art and poetry. Her work delves into themes of femininity, identity, and emotional complexity, often employing unconventional materials like tar and nail polish to create textured, abstract pieces. Her acclaimed book, Inner Self Portrait, exemplifies this blend, pairing poignant poems with striking visuals.

Fishman holds a Ph.D. from Bar-Ilan University and an M.A. in Art Therapy from the University of Haifa. She is a member of several art and poetry associations, including “SHIRA” – The Poetry Society in Israel, the International Association of Art (IAA/AIAP), and the UK Poetry Society.

Her work has been showcased in solo exhibitions across Israel and Europe, and she has participated in international biennials such as the Venice Biennale and the Mantova International Biennial.
